The usage of non-decomposable materials in our day to day life is very dangerous to the nature. These things affect our planet in very harmful ways. In this essay I will describe the various adverse effects it causes on the atmosphere and explain how replacing plastic with other nature friendly materials and imposition of fine by the government can address the issue positively.
Firstly, when the plastic materials are buried in the soil, it has a detrimental effect on agricultural lands and plant’s growth. As a result, it damages the soil and in turn negatively impacts its composition. Hence, it ends in disturbing the natural viable earth’s nutrients. Secondly, when all these plastic wastes are disposed off in the water bodies, they just accumulate and create chaos among water inhabitants by obstructing their way of life. Furthermore, if we wish to decompose them by burning them, it results in polluting the air. Despite numerous methods of getting rid of plastic, it, undoubtedly damages the world’s natural habitat in one or the other way.
The communities along with the officials can contribute collectively to deal with this problem. Various eco-friendly materials, such as, cloth bags, paper packages, can be used as a replacement, which are much safer. Ban should be put on usage of plastic tools. Governing bodies can impose fines on places, for example, malls, grocery shops, hotels for using plastic made things and encourage them to use more nature friendly materials. For instance, in a place called telangana, it is a crime to use plastic bags. This resulted in complete boycott of plastic products.
To culminate, I reiterate that, only by following such preventive measures, the whole world can be free of these dangerous, nature damaging products. Nevertheless, despite having knowledge, a number of countries still continue using plastic in their everyday life.
