Lately, global warming has become one of the primary challenges of the world. Human activities such as fossil fuel usage, deforestation and pollution intensify the greenhouse gas effect on the globe and lead global warming. In this essay, I will explain the reasons and consequences of the severely warming temperatures, and propose solutions to mitigate this situation.
On the one hand, there are various reasons why greenhouse gas effect has become more crucial than the past times. With the growing population in the world, the needs of human beings have increased proportionally. Besides, humans became overconsumers and everytime they opt for more products, clothes, shoes, households etc. which is not a sustainable way of living. In addition to these, even though fossil fuel usage contributes to the release of CO2 and diversity of hazardous chemicals into the air, many people still prefer using coal, natural gas or petroleum instead of renewable energy sources.
On the other hand, animal husbandry is another topic of a significant debate on global warming. For herding sheeps and cattles, large squares of forests are being destroyed. Also, dangerous amounts of methane and other poisonnous gasses are released into the air because of the feces of these over-reproduced animals. Accordingly, air pollution increases, air quality decreases.
Furthermore, all the reasons mentioned above has serious consequences. Rising air pollution mainly contributes to heating effect and therefore, many species face the threat of extinction and loss of biodiversity such as polar bears. Moreover, we might not be able to access any clean water source in the future if we do not start saving.
In coclusion, there are many reasons behind why global warming is such a serious topic of our modern world. In my opinion, there are still some solutions to preserve our planet for future. Firstly, I suggest that reforestation should be considered by the governments and they should implement more strict policies on deforstation. Secondly, individual people and governments should opt for renewable energy sources such as solar power, hydroelectric and so on. Finally, going vegan or vegetarian can help to decrease our carbon footprint.
