Nowadays, number of remote workers has increased and this situation leads companies to engage remote workers. From my point of view, working from home has various advantages for both companies and employees.
Firstly, one of the merits of the remote working is to be able to create effective working environment at home. That is to say, individuals can motivate theirselves by optimizing their working room which provide stronger workflow and resulting improvements in self-performance. Secondly, in today’s world, commuting to work and back may be time-wasting especially in big cities which lowers people’s mood and tests our tenders after a long-time working. Meanwhile, remote workers can spend more time with their families and loved ones. To exemplify, my ex co-worker has started working remotely, and he says that his job performance has significantly increased. Also, he has more time as he doesn’t waste it in transportation and he is focusing on his hobies now.
Additionally, companies have gain compelling benefits by engaging remote workers. For instance, as the employee’s demands such as extra payments for transportation, lunch and various office needs will be likely to fall, companies’ burdens change positively. Moreover, many companies have accepted that their project outcomes have been enhanced. For instance, Sabancı Holding , one of the biggest companies in Turkey, declared they will employ more remote workers in various positions.
To recapitulate, working from home has grave impacts both for individuals and the companies which increase overall working outcomes. Remote workers are not only more productive but also provide more effective workflow. That is to say, companies need to promote remote-working system more than ever.
