Some countries support opening foreign businesses in their countries. However, I think that the government should contribute to the development of local companies rather than foreign companies because it has advantages not only for the government but also for people and boost the level of life in the country.
The government should support local companies and encourage entrepreneurs to expand their businesses and develop high-quality products. Because both the government and citizens can benefit by using this strategy. The government can get more taxes paid by developing companies, and people benefit by getting new workplaces and higher salaries. As a good illustration, the government in Ukraine provided local IT companies with courses and technology that allowed IT businesses to take development to a new level, employ more candidates, and provide them with more attractive salaries. Whereas, the government profit was doubled.
Moreover, government support leads to faster development of companies and improves the economy. This process has a positive impact on the life level in the country. Because workers have more career opportunities and could earn more money that lets people live a better life. For instance, Thailand is one of the countries that has developed dramatically for 30 years through investments in local companies and supporting citizens by paying for their work trainings.
In conclusion, many countries tend to prefer to support foreign companies rather than local companies. However, I believe that the government should focus on local businesses and provide them with different kinds of support. Because it ensures society good opportunities and improves a life level. At the same time, the government benefits by getting higher profits.
