Band 4+: Some countries invest in specialized sports facilities for top athletes but not for the average people. Is this a positive or negative development?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In some countries, it is invested to some types of sport facilities only for popular sportspeople. In my opinion, it is a negative development.

To begin with, famous athletes should work on their physical format, but everyone ought to practise some exercises to be healthy, and for this reason government should support their residents by constructing special places for practising in every city. This trend can reduce the number of sick people, and helps to avoid from obesity, because if people practise, they will lose weight. For example, in Norway in the 2000s built many facilities by providing for their residents good opportunities to train, since that time the overweight diseases have deacreased. In addition, this act might encourage young children to practise sport exercises, because lack of that facilities have prevented children to train in recent years.

Furthermore, public facilities such as libraries, schools and others do not provide large amount of income to country, that assists to run an infrastructure. However, if government sets up the facilities where people can train, they will get much more income, because there are not many places for individuals to practise, nowadays. For instance, many people willing to be healty and physically strong, for that reason they might go to the fitness clubs more compared to the other public facilities. Additionally, improvements in health of people lead to be more efficient in works, for example, in the world some employments do not go to their jobs, when they feel sick, as a result the productivity of work will fall down.

In conclusion, this trend might have some positive sides, but negative developments more than positives.
