In today’s world, which the crime rate increasing uncontrollably, there is an ongoing debate regarding violent crimes. While some argue that criminals are deserved to be punished with the severe penalty like death, others claim that these type of punishments is inappropriate for modern society. In this essay, both views will be discussed before remarking my point of view.
Initially, opponents of this penalty believe that if the criminals would not be served by death, other criminals who has not been found yet, will be encourage to continue their crimes. Indeed, these extreme penalties might leads the criminals to think before their wrong actions and luckily, the society would face with less crime rate. For instance, researches has shown less crime commitments after the biggest protests in Germany.
On the other hand, in some opposite perspectives, these kind of punishment not only decrease violent crimes, but also advertise more violence in countries. As a result of this, there is no evidence in some crime cases, therefore many innocents might be punished and died because of wrong information. thus, these people would be involved in one crime, which leads their whole life into disaster.
In conclusion, although the violence of some crimes are undeniable, human life is not predictable and innocents could die for nothing. Therefore, in my opinion, governments are not capable of judging correctly. However, arresting the criminals is their responsibility rather than deciding the human’s lifetime and killing them.
