It is believed by many people that death punishments are must for people who are involved in serious crimes while others believe the opposite. In my opinion, giving penalties that are lethal should be practiced for those who commit violent crimes as it would set an example for others to not get involved in such practices. There are several advantages as well as disadvantages for this development.
Starting with the benefits, firstly, giving death penalties will provide justice to the families that suffer from violent illegal practices. Families suffering from crimes that leads to death needs justice in order to be fair with their loss. Secondly, it will encourage people to stay away from activities that are not legal. It will decrease nation’s crime rate as not many people will be getting involved in criminal activities because of the death penalty. For instance, if death is confirmed for the murderer, number of murders will go down in the upcoming future.
However, there are several drawbacks for this development. The foremost disadvantage would be the wrongful punishment. If the punishment is given to the person who did not commit any serious crime, it will not be fair. This may happen due to the unfair trial and wrongful judgement. For example, if a person is charged with murder, although he did not commit any, it will not be fair. Last, this development does not guarantee any fair practices at the court. Despite of lethal actions that is to be taken against the criminal, many unfair practices happen.
In conclusion, there are various advantages and disadvantages of taking deadly action against the people who commit violent crimes. It will not only provide justice to the people but also encourage them not to get involved in these activities. However, wrongful punishments and unfair practices will happen at the court that cannot be avoided.
