While some prefer to live in the same place for a long time, others, however, would rather change the residence often. Although I admit that it may cause some inconveniences, I am of the opinion that people should change their living place for new adventures.
Moving to another place usually puts people out of their comfort zone and throws them into an uncertain environment. Psychologically, adapting to a completely different place and area takes people time. This is because they have to face various challenges depending on where they are coming from and their personality type. If it requires learning a new language or culture, the adjustment period will last longer, which in turn would cause people discomfort for a time. At the initial stage, people have to absorb dauntingly a huge amount of new data and get grip on it. However not all of them would be able to successfully overcome this task. Therefore, some people would rather stay at their homes and would not toy with the idea of changing their residence.
However, I believe that the hardship people usually face while moving to another place is of a temporary nature and potential benefits they could earn from changing the location by far surpass its drawbacks. Firstly, moving to a new place could create more employment opportunities. There are many people who usually move in order to take a next step in their careers. My parents, for example, used to move quite often when I was a child, mostly in the name of job and economic opportunities. Therefore, I am well aware of the benefits of moving to new places. As well as this, in a new area, people are bound to discover interesting places such as a delightful bookstore, an exotic restaurant or a friendly neighbour.
To conclude, of course, a decision whether to alter the residence or not varies according to personal needs and characters. However, I believe that people should attempt it at least once in order to experience an exciting and unforgettable challenge, and weigh the pros and cons afterwards.
