In recent decades, schools play a prominent role in educating and providing precious opporturnities for children in the future. It is said that art, music and sports activities should be added as additional curriculum for children, others point out that they need time for a short period of relaxation. Personally, I firmly believe that both of the opinions has its pros and cons, however; it is my firm conviction that the latter point is more persuasive than the former one.
On the one hand, early adolescence can benefit from these additional activities like art and music classes an sports. This can be explained by the fact that children can actively explore themself what they are good at and discover their passions. Not only can young students learn new skills from the academic institutions, but also they can spend more time to interact with their friends and educators, who are willling to uphold them when they feel disorientation. As a result, children can gain confidence for being independent as well as a range of benefical lifeskills. This can be a potential equipment, for example, when they move to higher education or universities, they can be qualified for several academic clubs or charitable organizations, which are suitable environments to develop theirself.
On the other hand, I strongly agree that free time should be available for young alolescence as a reward for them. After the whole day on school, a short breaktime is genuinely necessary for them to relax, do homework and prepare the lessons for the following day. Furthermore, adolescence can improve their wanted skills like photography, martial art, making music, etc that are not available in the school curriculum. Also, children can spend time to gather with their family members since children frequently need deep advices from the most reliable predecessors such as their parents. Consequently, the percentage of getting depression and school pressure will decrease significantly if children have enough of time to connect emotionally with their family.
In conclusion, learning additional skills or new things can be an advantageous chance for them to promote theirself. Nevertheless, we have to strongly perceive that it is essential that children need to balance the school with their personal life.
