In modern era computers have become essential part of everyday life. It is argued that learning another language is a waste of time, the reason is computers can translate all kinds of languages instantly and smoothly. However, I completely disagree with this for reasons I will outline below.
There are a number of reasons why I belive that the importance of learning foreign languages is beneficial for human beings. One possible reason is for travelling in abroad. For example, if we travel another country and know their language, we can easily communicate with local community. As a result, we can leran new culture, people’s behavior, history and experiences. Another potential reason is for career purpose. Such as, nowadays people are all over the world separate in many countries and they do group work for their company, so several company require English language. As a consequence, it is significant for them to know English language or which one company need. Without knowing the language, none of the employees couldn’t do their task.
In addition, these day a huge numbe of student go abroad for their study purpose. Thus, they need to know English language or which language is the University need. If they don’t know the language, they won’t understand the lecture. Furthermore, obtaining knowledge. Learning new language is develop ours wisdom and it has several upside. Such as watching favorite movie, listening music and so on. On the other hand, If we depend on computer, we will face too much difficulties in the future. We will stuck our comport zone which would be hazardous for next days.
In conclusion, depend on computer translator is not relevant to modern society. From my point of view I totally disagree that learning foreign languages is waste of time. If people learn second language, it could absolutely helpful for them.
