Some people claim that we are faced with too many choices these days. I strongly agree with this owing to the evolution of humankind and the endless voyage of innovation in order to improve the standards of living and satisfy every individual’s needs rather than being forced to fit into pre-existing norms.
A few decades ago, if one had a decision to make, be it a small insignifant one like choice of meal and clothes to life-altering ones such as choice of career and travel, the options on the table where quite less. Cut to the present, the options are too many to fit that it cant be fit on a table. A latest study suggests that this whirlwind of choices could be due to the tranformative growth in the lives of humans pertaining to aspects including technology, lifestyle, education, healthcare etc. The process of evolution is inevitable thereby expanding our spectrum of possibilities.
Additionaly, rapid development and scientific innovation has paved the way for an optimized and comfortable way of living that caters to a diverse set of individual’s needs. For example, the young generation can identify their dream job without any limitations, especially these days there are a number of unusual and fascinating professions. Moreover, it is the wide range of possibilities that help individuals feel themselves more comfortable and confident.
In conclusion, I agree with the belief that the number of choices handed out to people today has become countless due to human progress and the need to go beyond just essentials and reach out for luxuries and one’s own desires.
