Although, many people believe that imagination and language skills are improving more through reading books, others think watching TV is a right way for developing person’s skills. I support with first statement to a large extent for some causes. In this essay, I am going to explain my resistance what watching TV is not true way.
Out of all the arguments, the strongest one to prove my view is that nobody achieve success or fame through watching TV. It is true, watching television gives us enjoyment, relax and other emotional feeling. However, it can’t give us the necessary knowledge to develop or personality while reading books helps us to learn important knowledge and to improve our viewpoint. In addition, events of the book are fully and meaningful described by writer. It can helps you to understand completely and to think more broadly. Consequently of this, your mind skills are increasing unbeknownst to you. A good example for this is that according to scientist, the brains of people who read a lot of books work 10 times faster than those who watch television.
The other reason to prove my point is that many movies are based on books or rely on the events of the book. For instance, Harry Potter movie that attracted the attention of the world population is based on book which is written by Agata Kristi. If you read Harry Potter book, you will get more insight and great emotions than the movie. So, I also prefer to read books than to watch TV and it is very useful for me.
In conclusion, watching television give us only aesthetically pleasure and relax for certain period while reading books helps to expand people’ spiritual knowledge and outlook. I believe that aforementioned points are strongly supporting my viewpoint.
