Some individuals consider that teachers should not give assignments to scholars, while others argue and believe that it is their commitment and important for education. This essay will discuss both perspectives and present my own opinion.
On the one hand, homework can cause exhaustion for students, particularly after an overwhelming school day, when an additional task can feel daunting. Moreover, completing homework every day may lead to burnout and can be particularly challenging during exam days. This can contribute to lower academic performance and worsen students’ productivity throughout the day. For example, an excessive amount of assignments may result in inconsistent sleeping patterns, which are detrimental to scholars’ health.
On the other hand, teachers are responsible for educating children, and it is obligatory for them to give assignments. From my perspective, I believe that homework assignments are crucial for students, since they enable students to reinforce their knowledge of covered materials. Moreover, it is necessary for teachers to assign tasks, as it is a part of their work and they carry a significant commitment to students’ education. The absence of daily tasks may contribute to the loss of knowledge of previous lessons and materials.
To conclude, I do believe that assignments are essential for students’ education, as they enable them to review covered materials and topics, as well as strengthen them.
