Moreover, such services also create a sense of belonging within the community. Each person works for the betterment of all the people involved, which excludes personal gain, promotes cooperation and compassion between the residents of the area. On the other hand, some people claim youngsters should spend time on their studies rather than being involved with community work. This is because academics play a greater role in success than volunteer work. They believe that one must get good grades to enroll in better universities, for which utilizing time on academics is of utmost importance.
