Nowadays, people are divided in their opinion regarding working from home has more advantages than working in an office. While this development has several benefits, it also has some detriments. From my point of view, working in an office has more advantages than opposing view.
One main reason why I disagree is that working from home doesn’t give you discipline, while discipline is the most important quality to work. In the office, staff have their responsibilities such as completing tasks on time and attending meetings. I am absolutely convinced that not every employee would follow these rules working from home. For instance, they may start working later than usual, take longer breaks or get distructed by household chores, which can reduce their productivity, which clearly explains this situation.
However, there are also some advantages from distance working. Working from home saves employees a significant amount of time to their personal lives. For example, instead of spending one or two hours commuting to and from work, they can use this time to relax or spend time with their families. Nobody can deny that this is obviously needs for everyone. Despite these benefits, I believe that maintaining discipline is more important, as it directly affects employees’ productivity and ability to complete their responsibilities on time.
In summary, distance working has both advantages and disadvantages. Whilst it offers certain benefits, its drawbacks should not to be ignored, and therefore, it needs to be considered carefully.
