Some individuals believe that personal lives of well-known people should be confidential and not shared in media. This essay will explore both positive and negative sides of this phenomenon.
One of the primary benefits of publishing celebrities’ private lives is that it can build a strong bond between fans and famous figures. By learning celebrities’ past life experience, achievements and failures, their fans are encouraged to accomplish the goals their role models have achieved throughout their lives. For instance, Jack Ma, the founder of Alibaba, grew up in a poor family with limited access to internet. Thanks to dedication to his work, he managed to launch his own marketplace which then has become one of the widely recognisable around the globe. Numerous publications about his life challenges have helped people to never quit dreaming and believing in themselves.
However, many artists may struggle with excessive amount of attention. from both mass media and their audience. These famous figures are often exposed to false news and misleading articles about their private lives which might cause extreme anxiety, stressful or suicidal behaviour among them. Furthermore, societal pressure on these individuals may ruin their reputation, resulting in bankruptcy or serious mental issues.
In conclusion, while publishing personal lives of celebrities can stimulate their fans to pursue their dreams, it can also damage their reputation and bring mental health problems. In my opinion, it is best to share details of their lives by only getting celebrities’ permission in order to avoid chaotic behaviour from both mass media and loyal audiences.
