Advertisements are central marketing methods that transcend time by allowing the companies to introduce and enhance their products reach while allowing the consumers to obtain knowledge on their options for purchase. While a lot of people believe that the effect of the advertisements in persuasion hasn’t decreased by a bit yet, their counterparts believe that the advertisements have become too common for the consumers to be intrigued in the companies’ products or services. In this essay, I will be delving into both views on the advertisements and explore why I would like to argue that with enough consistency from the organisations, the advertisements will remain to work.
Except for the flamboyant actions and graphics, one of the major reasons the advertisements are successful at consumer attraction is because they give the people a sense of relatability. Regardless of how much the products and services may seem unnecessary at first glance, as long as the advertisements can provide successful and persuasive context, they can input a mindset of necessity to the buyers. Among the competitive modern economy where hundreds of thousands of companies manufacture the same products or offer the same services, the advertisers who can elicit the most relatability will be able to survive, and of course, the quality of the product cannot be neglected as well.
Nevertheless, there is a downside to the improved and competitive economy as well, which is the excess familiarity of the advertisements with them being everywhere. As it became easy for the businesses to generate and put up their advertisements, we can encounter tens and hundreds of advertisements on a single platform we utilise, whether it be on social media, a website, or even at schools where it should be an area for learning only. This creates the people to be unbearably annoyed and familiar towards the advertisements, eventually resulting in ignoring them.
The best way forward for the advertisements for the quality products and services, I believe is to be consistent with their advertisements uploads and maintaining the products’ quality. With enough stable enhancements in their advertisements’ reach, the corporations will continue to achieve sales they strive to acquire since the consumers will have no choice but to notice the advertisements they frequently see and finally get engaged.
In essence, the battle for the corporations with the familiarity of the consumers to excessive amounts of advertisements will remain unchanged due to increase in business. Yet, the existence of the successful advertisements will also remain unchanged with the mentality of holding off.
