Some argue that people have stopped paying attention to advertisements because they have become too commonplace. From my perspective, I believe that advertising remains influential in shaping customer decisions; however, in this essay, I will explore both sides of the arguments.
Firstly, the purpose of advertising is to create desire in buyers, which in turn increases demand in the market. The profits in the market serve as the primary motivation for companies to continue creating diverse advertisements. If advertising were truly useless, no company would invest in it; however, the abundance of advertisements today serves as proof of its effectiveness. Secondly, certain advertisements are highly successful in creating captivating scenes. For example, some car manufacturers produce ads featuring a man driving alongside majestic mountains and an azure sea, evoking feelings of freedom or joy in customers. These emotions significantly impact people’s decisions, persuading them to purchase the promoted products.
On the other hand, some individuals doubt the utility of advertising due to its ubiquity in our world. In this fast-paced society, people may overlook various advertisements. Additionally, some ads are overly lengthy, and customers may struggle to focus on them due to time constraints. In summary, a substantial number of ads and the modern lifestyle of people pose significant challenges for advertising. Nevertheless, if a company can create short advertisements with innovative ideas, the advertising could still be effective.
In conclusion, advertising might seem ineffective if certain challenges are not addressed. However, in my opinion, with creativity and careful production, advertising has the potential to achieve enormous success and influence people’s shopping decisions.
