According to some big salary is more important than that of job satisfaction. This essay strongly disagrees with this view because job satisfaction is directly related to mental peace which plays a vital role in overall well-being of humans.
One may argue that money can buy happiness which is in fact true, but if it is coming at the cost of one’s happiness then by all means it can not make you happy. Another perspective to it can be added that an employee productivity is increased if he/she likes their job. Many recent researches have revealed that most of the employees prefer jobs that have great work-life balance.
On the other hand, big salaries are offered by big companies and their work culture is very professional. According to the data available on internet, big tech firms like Apple, Microsoft and Amazon have employee satisfaction rate of over 95%. These companies offer huge salary packages and additional benefits which also include health insurance. It is any company’s top priority to offer its employee best facilities so that they can benefit from it.
In conclusion, everyone wants a high paying job but if I were to choose between a high paying job and a job that provides me satisfaction even though the salary is not that great I will definately go for the later one. It all comes down to priorities and one’s top priority must be a high paying job that offers peace of mind and job satisfaction.
