Many individuals are of the opinion that working for a large organization is better off compared to working in a small one. I totally agree with this as it gives rise to career development, learning from experienced people and much more.
There are several reasons why working with big organizations pays off than working in a small company. Firstly, working in a large organization gives one more opportunities to build one’s career in life as there will be room for formal training programs which will broaden an individual’s knowledge in their respective fields. For example, nurses who work with government hospitals are privileged to attend seminars organized by the government to teach them about new ailments and how it can be managed effectively. Secondly, large organization often have enough resources to spare. For instance, a small hospital may not have a CT Scan machine readily available at the facility resulting to referring patient out to a bigger facility. Thirdly, job security is ensured. A large organization is less likely to downsize during major economic events like recession.
Another major reason why working with a big company is better compared to working with a small company is that, the work hours are fixed unlike a small company where one can be called on anytime to fill in a duty. I’m addition to this, an individual is opportune to learn from the best set of people in the field one is practicing, enhancing one’s experience. Furthermore, one gets to enjoy better remuneration.
Conclusively, my view is that it’s best to work in big organizations in order to build one’s career.
