Evironmental issues have always been a paramount concern of every nations in the world. Some people believe there is no problem which is more vital then the loss of our planet’s biodiversity in this century, while others disagree and think there are more important problems that we need to care about first. Personally, I agree with the second view, although I believe that plants and wildlife play a significant role for our planet.
There are many reasons for why people believe that the loss of certain species is the main environmental issue of the 4.0 era. Firstly, it has been proved that every animals and plants that exist in the Earth have their own unique and neccessary roles in the ecosystem and food chains. One species can be the food for an animal, as well as the consumer of another animals. For example, grass is the main consumption of sheep, while sheep is the principal food source for carnivores. If a species dissappear, it might have an unexpected impact on the whole natural food chains, sometimes including human. Moreover, some insects, for instance bee and grasshopper have a huge contribution in growing crops and providing sources of food for human.
On the other hand, it is obvious that animals and plants are just living creatures like human and depend on many environmental conditions to survive. However, nowadays, more and more environmental issues are being created, and the already existed ones are gradually becoming worse. Some problems such as deforestation, global warming and climate change might have an insoluble and chronic impacts on our planet. Therefore, if human don’t focus on solving these issues as soon as possible, their lives might be destroyed even before they could save the nature and vice versa, the wildlife existence will be threatened and made extinct before mankind could do anything to protect them.
In short, I believe that every environmental problems are vital and have a life-threatening impact. Consequently, it is neccessary to recognise the most dangerous issues and try to solve them first before considering others less harmful ones.
