Nowadays, learning foreign languages has become trend. A number of people think that the purpose of being specialized in foreign language is to travel overseas and settle abroad while others believe, there are so many reason behind this. In this essay I will emphasize both view and give my opinion with suitable conclusion.
First of all, foreign language offers advantages in job sectors. This is simply, from the first interview to work procedures are constructed in English in most of the multinational companies. Whereas, local languages are less useable for various purpose. For instance, writing mails and other communication are happened in English also all the tools and softwire’s languages are English. Moreover, not only international communication but also internal communications are being happened in English.
Secondly, it is and obvious process to learn foreign languages to travel for higher studies and works. Unlike the past, people are more prone to depart first world countries to complete their desired degree. For that reason, students or workers must show some minimum requirements of language proficiency so that they can get visa. For example, there is a number of English Language Testing system, one of them is IELTS. Most important thing is, some multinational companies are showing extra interests in candidates who have language proficiency certification.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that, learning foreign language is advantageous for various purposes like travelling overseas, multinational official purpose and international communication. So it is not only for those who are prone to study or work in foreign countries.
