Certain individuals argue that governments should prioritize healthcare during the distribution of taxes. Others, however, strongly believe that there are more essential priorities for taxpayers’ money. This essay will discuss both sides of the issue and present my own viewpoint.
To begin with, healthcare is among the most important factors for citizens’ well-being and spending a considerably amount of money on medicine offers a large number of benefits. One is that it can boost economy and create more workplaces, which enables individuals to work properly and contribute to the country’s economy. For instance, many studies show that governments that prioritize healthcare tend to develop more quickly, as people in these countries can work more productively and effectively. Additionally, investing in healthcare is essential to prevent diseases that are likely to spread across the country or even worldwide. With better healthcare, doctors and scientists can do research and analyze potentially dangerous diseases and illnesses. This, in turn, allow them to identify serious diseases and prevent them before they attack the public. For example, during the COVID-19, the Chinese government spend huge sums on researching and development of a cure, which allowed scientists to create effective vaccines and control the spread of the virus more effectively.
On the other hand, a large number of other people contend that healthcare is not the only priority. Other factors, such as education is equally important to take into account. One of the most frequent arguments is that education is the cornerstone of a country’s growth and cititzens’ development. Building more schools and universities enable governments to educate and grow more specialists, who eventually can contibute to the economy. In addition, these specialists can promote the country’s reputation as a hub of learning and research, which can accelerate the country’s development. For instance, universities in several nations, such as in the USA or in the UK attract a considerable number of students worldwide, as the education’s level is significantly high. As a result, these countries promote themselves through education and earn additional money from intertanional students.
In conclusion, prioritizing healthcare brings a large number of benefits for citizens, as it allows them to work more efficiently and contribute to the economy. Furthermore, investing in healthcare can prevent numeros illnesses and diseases, which can secure individuals’ well-being and prevent spreading those diseases worlwide. However, spending money on education is equally essential for people. This can bring several benefits for governments and help them increase the number of educated people. I believe that governments should strike a balance between healthcare and education.
