Of late, there has been a stark polarisation between two sections of society where a group of people believe that selecting a company that can offer a handsome amount of money as a salary is essential. However, there are some people (who tend to) think that having a pleasant atmosphere in an office is highly important. This essay delves into both sides of the topic before arriving at an apt conclusion.
On the one hand, those who support the idea of having a good atmosphere in the workplace argue that having a peaceful environment may reduce the stress level and as a result, it might increase work productivity. This means that members of a company who are designated in the higher hierarchy provide a peaceful atmosphere or boost the confidence of their workforce they may observe determination in their employees, which leads to huge profits in the business. Another significant aspect that could be considered is the unbreakable bond among colleagues, meaning that employees working together as a team can solve all the issues which are faced in a project.
Conversely, individuals supporting the viewpoint of selecting a business organisation providing an enormous amount of money as a salary propose that it provides a free hand to the people who have a white-collar job. So, they can live a lavish lifestyle and purchase expensive objects such as luxurious cars, villas, or plan international trips with their loved ones. Moreover, having a high-paid job also gives a social status in society. By this, I mean that people having the position of General Manager or Chief Executive Officer have an extraordinary fortune which gives them a lot of respect in society. Take, for example, Bill Gates, a billionaire and the chairperson of Microsoft, who has a lot of respect around the globe.
To conclude, I strongly believe that, despite the claims made favouring the importance of a pleasant atmosphere in the workplace, the fact remains that having a well-paid job is more important for living a lavish life and also getting respect from society.
