Some says that mothers and fathers should educate their offsprings on how to be useful individuals in society, while others believe that the school is the key tool help for being better person as an early age. In this essay, both sides of the argument will be examined before a personal opinion is offered.
On the one hand, some schools provide an environment to their students that they can easily meet a great group of diversity which help them to identify all of these different backgrounds and accept them as part of a society. For example, in Canada, the secondary school require their students to clean the classroom with their peers everyday. Consequently, this help them to learn work with the state of cooperation, improve their group work skills, become more committed and respectful members of a society.
On the other hand, it is widely known that the first step of learning process is start from the family. All family members at home play as a role of society member and they are the most essential people to help them learn respect and being useful at their own environment. To illustrate this, For example, parents who involve their children to help with household task; like cooking, taking care of younger siblings, or managing small tasks, these teach them responsibility, working together, and how to help others. In my opinion, parents are the best teachers of social values, because children respond better to lessons at home.
To sum up, although having a great interaction with differences at school can be helpful to accept diversity for children, understanding moral values at home creates a strong foundation, and without this base, school cannot succeed in teaching good behavior.
