Bringing up is a complicated process, that could be affected, both, by parents and school. So can these factors exist without each other, and why are they so important?
All researchers emphasize, that character of each person starts forming at a very young age, consequently, schoolchildren, aged 6-7 years old, have almost completed personality and are expected to be prepared to communicate with others. This means, that without parents’ participation in the process of bringing up their children, their brain and perception won’t be developed and could start evolving just as school years have started, which is too late. Moreover, bringing up children and growing moral values in them isn’t the main school’s purpose, so that child will be brought up by himself, which could lead unexpected consequences and wrong perception of the world and society principles. It will happen due to the school environment and constant contact with other children, who could be not so well-brought up and can teach this weak person unwanted things, due to their own misunderstanding and ignorancy. In this way, the school could give exactly opposite effect.
Consequently, to conclude, it’s parents’ obligation to teach their child what the right and wrong things areto give him relevant knowledge and ability to distinguish what behaviour is appropriate in certain conditions and what is not.
School only complements his knowledge and expands his outlook, whereas parents should teach their children how to be a good member of society. Furthermore, parents should be example for their child, because it has been proved, that all children tend to copy, firstly, their parents’ behaviour, because they’re usually authorities for them.
