It is considered by many that family business is the best means of business, whilst others think that it will lead to some predicaments in the future. In this essay, i will discuss both sides with some solid details and express my own.
On the one hand, running any kind of business requires trustworthy staff. Family business facilitates reliance amongst employees as most of whom have grown up together and created a strong bond since they were born. Moreover, this circumstance can also contribute to the work atmosphere. In other words, it may be far more relaxed as work time can be flexible and adjusted easily with a joint decision. Another indispensable matter is that the business can be passed down through generations, and this condition may mitigate the learning curve.
On the other hand, there are some complicated problems that family business may confront. First of all, some work may require a lot of burden and the company may need to hire more people to cope with this arduous situation, however, this may lead to other troubles. For example, non-family employees may find it difficult to integrate and do their utmost. Consequently, there might be a bias toward promoting family members ahead of non-related staff which can end up with serious conflicts. Additionally, the magnitude of the skills required to improve the business may lack in family individuals.
To conclude everything that has been stated so far, both sides have strong arguments. Nevertheless, as far as i am concerned, the best type of business is family-running one.
