Some believe that art should be supported financially, while others disagree. They are now debating it. In my opinion, artists should be encouraged in whatever way possible, not just financially, so that they can focus on their talents. Both points of view will be discussed in subsequent paragraphs of this essay.
To begin with, the first and most essential reason is that it boosts their mood, allowing them to create more art with less financial stress.Obviously, they focus their talents to generating amazing products such as painting, music, and poetry, which can be a valuable tool for individuals seeking peace after a long day of work. However, they do not get paid by the government because it is considered a hobby rather than a full-time job, which discourages them from giving their all. Furthermore, art forms such as music and poetry not only provide amusement but also contribute to society by transferring social messages. Therefore, artists deserve government funding since their work has a significant impact on society.
On the other hand, other people argue that more important things, such as education, healthcare, and transportation, should be valued, and that this expenditure is a waste of money. It is obvious that these factors play a critical part in people’s daily lives. For example, if a country lacks an appropriate healthcare system, what is the purpose of great art?Furthermore, it is believed that there are various people who are interested in art and spend money to support it. For example, producers already spend money on musicians, and some painting collectors have hobbies that require them to pay a high price.
To sum up, while some argue that the government shouldn’t support artists because of issues in other fields, I think support for artists is necessary because it raises their spirits and enables them to make greater positive contributions to their community and nation.
