In the contemporary world, society is divided into two factions: those who believe that the government should invest a significant amount of money to conserve the environment and those who argue that the government should focus on other priorities such as education and healthcare. In this essay, I will express my opinion on this pressing issue and describe why we should take environmental concerns seriously.
Firstly, I want to explain why it is essential for every person living in the country to care about ecology. Clearly, each individual should consider what they can do to protect the environment. Our future generations will also inhabit this country, and I doubt they would appreciate having to breathe contaminated air every morning. Furthermore, we tend to underestimate the impact of our actions, believing that one extra piece of trash won’t make a difference. This thinking is misguided; if everyone thinks similarly, collective inaction can have significant consequences. If the government invests in environmental protection, it can lead to meaningful change in society. There should definitely be increased funding for the conservation of endangered species, as well as for wildlife refuges and national parks.
On the other hand, education and healthcare are equally crucial, as a country is built by its people, not merely by its land. If the government allows a poorly educated populace and high mortality rates, it signifies a decline for the nation.
To summarize, people should pay attention to environmental issues as a general rule, but society must prioritize these challenges even more. Ultimately, the most significant goal is to create a community of educated individuals who are healthy and, importantly, mindful of their environment.
