The issue of people not getting the valuable qualities from educational institutions that help them reach success in the modern era has sparked considerable debate in recent years. While some people argue that it is true and the knowledge learners are getting is not practical, I strongly believe that academic institutions can give the crucial hard skills and valuable experience that help people in their future careers.
One of the main reasons why I support this view is that at universities students study many various and useful subjects that set the fundamental principles and needed academic knowledge. To elaborate, they learn finance, mathematics, IT and many other courses that are needed in today’s jobs. For instance, nowadays, most of the successful and popular individuals are IT specialists, who earn millions of dollars annually, and almost all of them graduated from this field of study at reputable universities such as Harvard, Oxford, or MIT. This clearly demonstrates how essential learning and gaining basic knowledge in a certain field is at educational institutions.
Another significant justification for my stance is that valuable qualities can be developed or improved through experience and a wide range of experiments during the study years. In other words, people will gain not only academic knowledge also known as hard skills, but also important experience, valuable advice from teachers and real-life lessons from their failures. A good illustration of this is Mark Zuckerberg who was a complete genius during his university years, but he did not stop, he still studied, did a lot of research, gained extremely important knowledge, and as a result, became one of the richest people on earth by creating a new social media app. Consequently, this strengthens the argument that how academic institutions can contribute to success not only by teaching, but also by sharing important experience.
In conclusion, although some might argue that there is minimal possibility of becoming a successful person, and the needed qualities cannot be learned at educational institutions, I firmly maintain that people will get not only fundamental knowledge, but also crucial experience which will lead to undeniable success in their future careers. The evidence presented above clearly shows the importance of educational establishments in developing that valuable qualities which people need.
