There is much debate regarding that usage of fresh water, some people believe that it should be under the control of governments, others think that it is a human right and there should not be any limitation for usage. I strongly believe that, fresh water is one of the most important natural resources and all people need this, so we can’t use it as much as we what.
On the one hand, the proponents of unrestricted access of fresh water may view it as a fundamental human right. They believe that it is an integral part of daily activities, such as taking long showers, brushing teeth’s while water is open etc. When there is a control about this usage, they feel like their daily activities restricted. However, I think it is not our own source. Although we bear the price for using it, this is not mean that there is an unlimited right of use.
On the other hand, people who believe that there should be a limitation about water usage, support their ideas with worldwide problems such as global warming. We don’t have any proof about these sources will be continue with same effectivity fifty years later. So, they support environmental support communities to draw attention to water usage. In my point of view, the resources in the world are limited and do not belong to anyone. Especially, some countries such as Africa, has plenty of difficulties for accessing fresh water. While some parts of world can use unlimited water, other parts cannot reach it. It is completely unfair.
As a result, although there are some conflicting views about usage of water, I think, government can be an important part for usage limitation. We have to be respectful for other generations and also countries where cannot easily reach natural sources.
