Nowadays, some argue that young individuals should pursue their full-time education until they reach the age of 18, while others believe it is unnecessary and belongs to their personal choices. In my opinion, education is the most important before the age of 18. I will discuss its advantages in the following paragraphs.
First and foremost, it is apparent that education is mandatory for young people because it provides the crucial skills and knowledge for achieving success in a rapidly changing world. Education improves critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and social communication, which are vital in both personal and professional life. For example, employers tend to prioritize candidates with a solid educational background, as it frequently shows that they are capable of learning and solving issues independently at work. In addition, various industries require advanced qualifications that can only be achieved through prolonged educational engagement.
Furthermore, full-time education is a fundamental platform for individuals to develop their social and personal growth. Schools provide a good environment for adolescents to promote social skills such as teamwork, communication, and empathy. Entering the workforce at an early age could earn immediate benefits such as practical experience and financial independence. However, this perspective shows the fact that without adequate education, young individuals easily fall into society’s vices. For instance, according to scientific research, in Vietnam, more than 20% of young people without proper education have criminal records.
In conclusion, I strongly agree that full-time education until the age of 18 is vital for equipping both the academic foundation and social competencies which are necessary for successful adult lives. Emphasizing the importance of structured educational experience is essential for a better future generation.
