Some individuals believe performance art such as music, art, and drama have equal importance as other discipline in shchool, especially at the primary level of education. I strongly agree with this notion, due to the fact that these subjects foster young children’s to think creatively, and encourage them to recognize their own abilities and interests.
Firstly, performance art in any kind has tremendous impact on student’s creativities at this age, as they are very young and capable to learn new skills with a relatively fast speed. During the process of learning, pupils do not only aquire skill of singing, painting, or acting, but also their creativities are stimulated. This is because absolute right answer does not exist in the music, panting, or dancing projects, students are challenged to express themselves and find their own voice. Studies have shown that learning performance art in young age is benificial to one’s personality. As a result, this approach is also positive in longer term, as creativity helps other subjects, thesis, even when working.
Furthermore, learning such disciplines in premary level also encourage children to identify their talents and preferences. It is vital for pupils to try and learn any kind of art in order to know themself better. This is because as they grow older, there are many other things that are more important at the moment, such as reports, tests, and works. Without doing so, one’s future might become narrotive since they did not have the chance to test it. For instance, a significant number of famous singers in Taiwan engaged with music when they were little, it would be imposible for they to success if they did not find their great interests back then.
In conclusion, I personally advocate the idea that learnning music, art, and drama is as essential as learning other disciplines like science and math, because this can encourage children’s creativities, as well as shapping their future.
