In today’s world, there is heated debate about civilization on other planets. Many scientists suggest contacting them while others believe that it could be hazardous. This essay will outline both perspectives in supporting the latter.
On the one hand, contacting other civilizations on other planets can attain some benefits for expanding new places for living. Making relationships with other civilizations is possibly a chance to live in a different environment and trading new resources that can not be found or nearly extinct on this planet. For instance, the fossil fuels on the planet Earth dwindle, thus this trading could be beneficial for this planet in order to operate vehicles. As a result, through messages that the scientist sent can connect two different civilizations.
On the other hand, I believe that sending messages on other planets tends to be fruitless. The scientist will spend too much time on an uncertain civilization instead doing more research on essential issues such as global warming. Additionally, this approach is relatively not suitable for communication with the alien due to the different languages, as a consequence it might be misinterpreted by the aliens. For instance, the aliens might be angry and take revenge to attack the planet Earth. Therefore scientists should focus more on this planet than outer space.
