There are many who believe newspaper is the best source of getting information whereas other people feel the social media apps are much better for reading the news. Despite the newspaper is useful to some extent, I opine along with others that the other media sources such as online news portals, YouTube etcetera are the great because these are time saving, affordable, convenient and eco-friendly.
On the one hand some people give preference to reading newspaper due to many reasons. The first and foremost one is they do not want to change their habit of reading printed media. To illustrate, old citizens have an habit to read newspaper in the morning with a cup of tea or coffee. This regime give them an immense satisfaction which is impossible in case of social media apps. Therefore they prefer to follow their this particular schedule in the morning. To exemplify, BBC news revealed that 80 % old generation stick to their reading habits of printed material.
In contrast to it, I believe as others that online media is best to getting news as it is convenient, affordable and time saving. To elucidate it, one can get information with just one click on their technical devices by opening various news portals anywhere and anytime. These are cheaper as compared to newspaper. For instance, 90 %of young generation use online news portals and You Tube due to it’s convenience and affordability. Moreover, these sources are eco friendly as these not need to cut trees as newspaper.
To conclude, although newspaper is popular among old generation but it is best to use social media to getting news as it is cheaper, easily usable and environment friendly.
