It is not uncommon to see people, especially young generation, taking an extended period of time. For many people, a chance of having a year off after completing school curriculum is an appealing one. While this custom can have clear benefits, it is not without its downsides.
The idea of taking an extended period of time after graduation can be seen largely a change for the bette. Since people have a chance of gaining expertise by undergoing various aspects of life. Having been worked in a wide range of fields, people tend to make connection with individuals from various spheres, which is in turn, can develop networking and skills – ability which is a must-have for leading a prosperous life. Not only they foster their communication skills, but also decision-making; on the grounds of that they are subject to mix with people who are well-rounded. As a consequence, only by listening to the ideas of those people facing with during the their journey of a gap year, can they have sufficient ideas as well as a sound grasp understanding of other grounds to run successfully their own business. In contrast, if people do not take a year out, there is a likelihood they get stuck in one major in the confines of the university tertiary.
I, however, prefer to see being educated at universities right after finishing school in a positive light. This is mainly because once they take a gap year, their focus will be only on finding ways for making a livelihood. Doing so, they will not be able to be properly familiar with one field in which they are interested in. Having university qualifications can bring some valuable benefits for one while seeking a well-paid job; in the virtue of the fact many lucrative companies require a university diploma to give a good position. This is what the university equips you for being a knowledge individual, which cause to obtain a job which is cut out for you. In contrast, although gaining experience can be helpful, it is rather unhealthy when people go through thick and thin, which can, in turn, lead to a slippery slope of sentimental problems.
In conclusion, there is a ubiquitous phenomenon of taking a gap year after graduating high school. Although it can be viable to decide to do so, but the benefits of a university diploma should be non-negotiable.
