In the twentieth century, most human beings preferred using social media for interactions and the exchange of latest current affairs. In my opinion, the advantages of such development surely outweigh the drawbacks because it is the fastest means of communication and is easily accessible.
During the early eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, communication was a much more tedious task as the process involved writing messages on paper and then sending them via post, which could take approximately 10 to 30 days. This clearly demonstrated the dependency on a courier, which could indeed be frustrating. In today’s contemporary world, with the advancement of latest technologies, the use of communication has become incredibly fast. It only takes a couple of minutes to send and receive messages, and can also be used to share various news related to the latest technologies and other geographical sectors of a particular country within a fraction of a few seconds, eliminating the dependency on couriers and other crucial factors. For instance, from my personal experience, I have benefited from social media as it always helps me in getting sufficient information regarding new tech innovations, weather conditions, and for communication.
Another primary advantage of social media is the ease of accessibility. These digital platforms can be easily operated from all around the world without any malfunctioning during the process, and ensure smooth usage. In addition, such platforms can be easily used by all populations regardless of their speed and age. Examples include email, social media platforms, or public messaging services, which are widely available and can be used by anyone with basic internet access or a phone.
In conclusion, social media has benefited everyone in the world by providing a platform that has enormous advantages such as its fast accessibility and communication speed, making the life of an individual easier.
