The change in people’s lifestyle affects their overall health level. Nowadays, many prefer to consume highly-processed or fast food due to the inconvenience it offers, wherein the nature of those foods consist of additives and sugar. This essay strongly agrees with this statement because this habit will badly influence the individuals’ organs, eventually decreasing their health in the long run.
Employees who rely on time efficiency have a preference to eat fast food instead of self-prepared meals mainly encouraged by the practicality restaurants provide from delivery orders. In this case, the employees are not required to drive outside their workplace to have their lunch during a breaktime. While waiting for their orders to arrive, in the meantime, it will enable them to continue their work or allocate the waiting time to do something else. Thus, they can finish multiple assignments at once – both personal and career related. However, this kind of dependency has its own drawbacks.
The tangible disadvantages it can cause are, in regard to the workers’ health, obesity and laziness. Once they fully depend their daily consumption on delivery orders, it will deter them from getting the body movement needed and build a some sort of low energy during the day; it is because they will remain in a sedentary state in their office room where they are unable to get exposed with the sun until the orders arrive in which they have to pick them up. To take it further, combined with the high-additive and high-sugar meals they consume, without knowing exactly what they feed their guts with, will trigger their obesity. Although the advancement of technology can contribute to the development of medical treatments, it will not give the assurance that it will completely cure a certain illness caused by unhealthy meals. Hence the belief that people in general will have lower health levels in the future.
To conclude, although there is a possibility for developing a medicine, if one’s harmful lifestyle is consistently being overlooked, a certain disease will ultimately recur.
