The bar chart and pie chart give information about the number of males and females participating in numerous evening courses at an adult education center and the age distribution of these course participants.
In general, in most evening courses, females take part in a larger number than males. Among them, the number of participants aged 50 or over reached the highest rate among all age groups.
Looking more closely at the bar chart, female participation is more than men. The language course was the highest number for women with 40 and only 20 men attended. Both painting and drama courses also were dominated by women. Conversely, in the sculpture course, men’s attendance was higher than women’s, with 10 and around 5, respectively.
The pie chart shows that the highest proportion of age groups attending the adult education centre was the age group of 50 or higher with 42% while individuals between the ages of 40-49 came in second with 26%. On the other hand, only 5% of the participants were aged 20 or under.
