In its latest history humanity has been thinking over the issue of whether it is more beneficial to construct taller or wider skyscrapers in metropolitans, in order to provide the citizens with flats. From my perspective, the opinion to build lengthwise not widhtwise is more conclusive. Therefore I am absolutely agree with the given statement, and numerous argument can be found in favour of my choice.
First and foremost, the point on my side is that, it is an obvious fact that the planet has limited area and people cannot neglect that. Also, one should undoubtedly admit that because of it a majority of individuals are faced with a housing crisis, which is exarbeted year by year. Due to this issue, governments have to increase the cost of the apartments, and this solution makes the situation worse, as the citizens cannot afford to buy a flat and they are reluctaned to rent a house. For instance, russians even do not think about their own home, as in order to save money for this target they have to work for decades without weekends.
On the second place, it is impossible not to think about another crucial side of the problem. Wider houses results in the shortage of a territory, and it is worth mentioning that not only do individuals face with a lack of accommodations, but also the nature of the city can be eliminated. Such a situation is very common in Moscow. Hardly can tourists see any herbs in any pace, except parks there. As a consequence it can lead to a health problems of the citizens, since oxygen is a vital gas for a life.
Summarising it all, one should come to a conclusion that it is more favourable to build taller buildings rather that wider. Owing to aforementioned grounds, I support such a viewpoint.
