It is asserted by some that building large apartments is the most effective way to accommodate sufficient people in metropolises. Although there are both favorable and unfavorable arguments for this statement, I strongly agree with the assertion.

One of the prime reasons why constructing tall apartment blocks to provide enough homes is beneficial is that high-rise buildings maximize limited urban land. This is because large cities comprise very little limited land, so establishing houses vertically allows thousands of residents to reside on the same plot where a few houses could be built, resulting in increasing housing supply without expanding city boundaries. For instance, numerous researches have consistently cited that a significant number of large cities are benefitted due to this. Therefore, setting up apartment blocks is undoubtedly useful for urban people.
Another reason behind agreeing why having vertical flats is productive is that concentrated housing makes public services more efficient. In other words, when numerous individuals live in one are, authorities can offer transport, hospitals, schools, and utilities more effectively, helping residents enjoy shorter commuting distance as apartment complexes are often located near business districts. For instance, a plethora of studies have found that around two-thirds of metropolitan areas are positively impacted because of this. Therefore, installing multi-storey building is unquestionably advantageous city dwellers.
Although block of flats offers certain drawbacks, in my opinion, the long-term benefits it provides ,such as maximizing urban land and making public services more efficient, are far more significant.
