In fact, due to inflation, the prices of power sources, fuel and energy, which are mandatory for the all means of transportation are being regularly increased, resulting in higher cost of transit tickets. Secondly, poor maintenance of rood infrastructure also affects the condition of vehicles, leading to constant repair of machines, which demands more budget.
As an effective solution, government may offer investing in renewable energy. By replacing traditional deisel-powered machines, with electric buses and trains powered by clean and safe energy. To be more specific, a city that introduces electric buses powered by solor and wind energy can significantly decrease dependence on expensive fossil fuel, making fare tickets affordable. Furthermore, modernization is the best option for maintenance of infrastructure. It assists to prevent transports from getting repaired frequently. Even if there has demand for repair, government should allocate subsidies for public transports’ employers to cover operating running costs, allowing them to keep fares at a reasonable level.
In conclusion, while inflation and poor infrastucture are emerged as the main causes of escalting costs of mass transit, government may provide with potencial options, which are subsidies and modernization of roads, to solve those obstacles.
