Band 5+: "The Impact of Social Media on Society "Do you believe social media has a positive or negative effect on society? Discuss both views and give your opinion".

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays social media has one of the most important part in our society. Everyone has to use these instruments as we transfer real life to the Internet. But can we say that social media save or destroy our commonness? In the essay this problem will be analyzed in both views.

In the one hand it is necessary to say that no one can imagine routine without the most popular representatives of social media like Instagram, Facebook, Telegram. It is common to see that because of boredom people prefer to check their accounts in social media. As we can explore our society starts to lose any useful alternatives of ways to spend free time. Instead of reading, studying or doing sports humanity is obsessed to look for a scandal news about their favorite celebrity. Moreover, in the 21st century people manipulated by social media. It can be traced back to the past decade when every teenager dreamed to be as their lovely singer or actress. However, the consequences were catastrophically. A lot of young people were started to have mental and physical issues because the standards which they can observe now are impossible to achieve. For this reason, I can conclude that social media influence entails enormous negative pressure on society, because everyone tries to adapt to social rules which are derived and extend by the main giants of social media.

On the other hand social media can have a positive impact on a person’s life. One of the example is that it helps with communication. People can converse if they live in different places in the world. And if we consider social media at this way it is one of the best human communication tool. We observed so many stories when people started to be a best friend, married or found new opportunities. For instance, the most famous job social media is linkedin where you can find new people who can motivate you to be a more qualified professional. In another example social media can inspire you to start grow as a person. Different do charity work people from all over the world can give you a new purpose and endeavor in life: to learn a new language, to do charity work, to go to university. So social media has positive and useful effect on our society. In conclusion I want to say that as every part in our world social media has advantage and disadvantage. I belive that person need to have a balance and remember dangerous moments in social media.
