In an era where technological advancements emerged from persistence in the pursuit of success, their impact on life aspects, particularly socially, has often been scrutinised. Not only has technology played a significant role in streamlining a multitude of tasks, but it has also evoked diverse, unique qualities in humans. Although a minority of people claim that technology is far from futile, a large proportion of society firmly repudiates this view.

On the one hand, the significance of technology is widely acknowledged by a myriad of people, for it holds tremendous value. Firstly, technological aspects, the internet in particular, have already been a source of connection between several societies, no matter how different the languages; it bridges numerous gaps. To illustrate, it facilitates language barrier navigation: people who interact with foreigners come across distinctive cultures don’t seem to have a traumatic issue regarding the language differences_ thanks to translation apps, AI tools, and, most importantly, the internet. Secondly, the large capacity of knowledge offered by means of technology is undeniable. To emphasise, if we divert our thoughts toward the foreseeable side of technology, we will be struck by dozens of privileges: you can communicate easily, search for inquiries in seconds, and even work remotely in complete ease.

On the other hand, however, the key aspect of technology, which is remote communication, is criticized by a segment of the population, claiming that the lack of verbal communication is eradicating social skills, especially among younger generations. Despite the aforementioned argument, which is rather based on dubious grounds, the presence of face-to-face meeting tools contradicts the previous view. People do not lose their essential life skills- communication skills- by technology, nor do they deny the avails offered. In fact, people keep noticing that technology, in every sense, has become indispensable.

Conclusively, people are sharply polarised regarding the influence of technology on our lives, whether the quality of tangible communication is undermined or noticeably strengthened. In my stance, I believe that technology, by no means, is quite instrumental for an array of people, and its role is irreplaceable.
