The impact from using social media has been a debateable issue. Some believe that using too much social media can cause bad impact on communication and social skills, and some argue that it can improve our connection with people, or a community, and also gives us a platform to express our feelings which is the otherwise. This essay will discuss both views.

On one hand, the negative effect that social media has brought to people’s lives is arguably big. It can be seen that thesedays people are getting too addicted to social media that they tend to be more individual rather than interacting with others. For instance, most parents introduced their kids to social media from their young age and that led them to being addicted to social medias. In addition, social media could also be dangerous because some of our personal informations could be leaked. With so, spending too much time and attention to social media is considered not good.

On the other hand, the beneficial side of using social media is also considerable since social media is a big platform for people to explore more about the things that they are interested in, and build relation with people remotely. By having the privillage to interact to people from a far distance, ist provides us more chances to build stronger connections with people. Aside from that, we can also express and share about the things we like to other people that also have the same interests with us. Therefore, social media is very helpful for people to improve themselves.

In conclusion, although social media could lead us to addiction and loss of social and communicating skills, it could also be a platform for us to improve ourselves by doing positive things that help to improve our knowledge. In my opinion, i think that the increase of social media usage is considered good if people are using it wisely.
