The table reflects the number of hours spent per week on computer by people of various age groups in China.
The most striking point to be observed is that Internet usage was at its highest for those aged between 16 and 20, with the figure for males being 24 hours and females just one hour less._
However, it is quite surprising to note that the
youngest age group spent far less amount of time on computer. Boys of 10-15 age spent 10 hours whereas girls gave only 8 hours.
From 21 onwards, the hours spent reduced dramatically. By the ages of 26 to 30, males and females spent the same amount of time online with 9 hours each, after which females reportedly spent slightly longer hours online than males for the remaining two categories, falling to only 7 hours for men and 8 hours for women for those aged 51 or older.
Overall, it can be seen that the highest period of computer usage for both males and females between the ages 16 and 20. It is also seen that males younger than 31 spent more time than females on the computer.
