Tourism has been increasing over the years in the whole world leaving fewer places being untouched. Some people argued that it has low or none benefits widespread at common turism places. Although there is arguments that support this ideia, I tend to disagree with this statement and in this essay I will explain the main reasons.
On one hand, it is amply known that turism has a negative impact on the environment. For instance, some places was unaffect by humans before being used to be turism places are not facing problem like deflorestation to build new hotels like in front of beaches. Furthermore, some people tend to argued that after the busy season at places such as hotels and restaurants, the local communite would face a low or no income. In other words, turism worker would face financial difficults at some stage of the year.
On the other hand, turism can help grown the local economy and infrastructure of cities. To exemplify, Queenstown in New Zealand has most part of their enocomy based on hospitality and turism, people all around the world come to Queenstown during all year and most part of the city works with something related to turism. Overall, the infrastructure of the cities has been made because of the turism. In addition of it, turism also provides a exchange of cutures. For example, a person that has never travel anywhere could learn about a new culture as much as the turist, exchanging life experience.
In my perspective, there is a large amount of benefits to the countries where turists goes, such as a expansion of local economies, the improviment of jobs and the exchanges of cultures. To sum up, even though there is some issues with the sector of turism, majority they provide a large amount of benefits to the countries visited.
