Positive And Negative

Band 5+: These days more fathers stay at home and take care of their children while mothers go out to work. What could be the reasons for this? Is it a positive or negative development?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays, more fathers tend increasingly to assume their childcare responsibilities and they would like to take care of them by staying at home. There could be several reasons, and I accept it to be negative developments.

In recent years, more parents have been changing their roles which are considered traditionally, and there are compelling reasons for this. First and foremost, mothers may have better career prospects than their husbands; therefore, they can pursue a career and make money for their spouse and children as a breadwinner in their families. Likewise, more fathers who earn more money than their wife can go out to work for their immediate families. Secondly, men and women have equal rights in society as individuals and parents; for these reasons, they can choose what their roles and their responsibilities in families in the way they want. In this way, they easily can fulfil to take after their children at home.

To begin with, there are some adverse improvements in women working and men caring for their kids. Firstly, both mothers and children can suffer from sense of motherhood, and lack of motherly can bring about domestic problems. For instance, a mother who treats her child indifferently friends, the child may care different things like the TV, Internet. As a result of, this can cause a detrimental effect on not only children but also mothers, like anxiety for them by virtue of the fact that television and Internet become the main impacts on children’s behaviour.

In conclusion, in light of these reasons mentioned above, it seems to me that males should work in their job, and females ought to look after their child at home.
