Today, more and more fathers stay at home and replace the role of mothers who go out to work as their children’s caretakers. One possible reason for this is that fathers want to make sure that their children are completely safe. This trend is advantageous because children can receive more reliable education from their fathers than from anyone else.
One common reason why fathers take over mothers’ responsibility to look after their children is that they want their children to be totally free of dangers. Obviously, if a young infant whose self-awareness and behavior have yet to develop is left alone at home, they may do something which could physically harm them. This is also true even if the infant is taken care of by someone not from the family and having little experience in childcare. For example, one of the most recent cases that shocked the whole city of Vung Tau (Vietnam) is about a three-year-old boy who fell off the balcony from the 26th floor of an apartment building while being looked after by an inexperienced babysitter. The incident resulted in the babysitter being subject to legal consequences and the family permanently feeling guilty and regretful for the death of their son.
The fact that fathers agree to stay at home with their children has several positive aspects, one of which is that their children will acquire an education which is appropriate and suits what both parents expect. Clearly, fathers, along with mothers, have been the only ones to understand their children since birth and be fully aware of their children’s needs and behavior. For instance, someone who is going to leave childhood and step into adulthood may easily imitate bad words and actions of people on the internet and tend to be manipulated into committing wrongdoings. Therefore, fathers, more than anyone else, could help them distinguish between right and wrong and give useful lessons to direct them away from what may corrupt their character. Fathers can also act as psychologists who assist their teenage children in coping with mental problems such as unexplained sadness or self-isolation.
In conclusion, it is necessary that fathers stay at home with their children to prevent any dangers from happening to them. This trend is beneficial for children because they can receive valuable education from their fathers who are usually close to and understand them more than anyone else.
