In modern life, there is a great increase in ill-mannered personalities and disrespectfulness towards others. This phenomenon is driven by many factors, and there are many solutions to tackle this trend.
This trend stems from various clear factors. One of the primary reasons is social media influence. Many people are addicted to social media these days, and they rarely engage in face-to-face communication. This situation leads to loss of social skills and ethics. As a result, people become rude and disrespectful, which cannot be seen in the mirror. Another compelling reason is person’s environment. Environment plays a crucial role in shaping person’s behavior and character. Young generations usually try to imitate habits and actions of their family and friends. A good illustration of this context is my friend Aziz, who lives in a dysfunctional family, and developed unethical behavior.
In spite of these obstacles, we have some solutions to reduce the impact of this problem. One major approach is strengthen educating moral values Students must learn respect, empathy, and self-discipline from an early age, because education shapes behavior before bad habits developed, and schools must be responsible to teach moral values and social responsibility. Another practical solution is parental involvement and role modelling. Parents should be accountable for regulating their children’s social media overuse. They can be a good role model by acquiring good habits. They can limit their children’s screen time, so that children do not use social media too much.
To conclude, there are many factors contributing to this trend, such as social media influence and environment. However, we can address these problems by the help of schools and parents.
